The Puente de Hózhó Elementary School community is built on a foundation of diversity, collaboration, and cultural respect. Students, families, teachers, and staff come together in support of a shared mission: to build a “bridge of beauty” between speakers and learners of Diné, Spanish, and English, and to empower children as multicultural and multilingual stewards of the world.
Our school community actively celebrates language, heritage, and identity while fostering meaningful, inclusive learning experiences in a safe and academically rigorous environment. Together, we create a space where every student is supported, every voice is valued, and every culture is honored.
Students at PdH thrive in challenging environments, enjoy crossing lines of difference, and are intellectually curious to engage in a global world. With a strong focus on academics and with content taught in two languages, students push their skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, confidence, critical thinking, content application, and cultural understanding. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, PdH also centers on the IB Learner Profile, or attributes that promote life-long learning and thoughtful engagement with the world around us.

At Puente de Hózhó (PdH), we deeply value the involvement, insight, and contributions of our families. Parents and guardians are active partners in our learning community, working alongside staff to support school improvement, student success, and cultural celebration. Whether participating in classroom activities, offering input through the PTO, or engaging in school-wide initiatives, PdH families help bring our mission to life.
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) plays a vital role in school decision-making, event planning, and volunteer coordination. Parents are encouraged to get involved in ways that align with their time and interests. Contact the Puente de Hózhó PTO.
